Lars Friis Mikkelsen, Founder and CEO of LarSolution, has for decades worked in the life science industry with global responsibilities for external preclinical collaborations at CROs, pharmaceutical companies and universities plus the lobbyism in relation to the use of animals. In addition, Lars has had leading global positions, being responsible for preclinical research strategies and business development programs and has successfully made huge turnovers for globally recognized companies in both Europe, the US and Asia.
Lars’ vision of making a difference for society, the patients and the animals used in research plus his passion for combing science and business have led to a variety of international board positions ranging from biotech companies to globally leading organizations.
Furthermore, Lars has authored close to 50 scientific publications in well-recognized journals and supervised several master students, is a well-known and often invited speaker at international scientific events sharing his knowledge and experience in topics ranging from species selection, animal model development, characterization and validation, study design and best practice use of anesthesia and analgesia to animal housing, care and welfare and optimized external collaboration.
